I have previously owned this product, and it worked well for a year, and i have bought a new one. The lights do not work, i cannot move the cursor while clicking any button (so i cant drag, highlight, etc), and half the time, it doesnt register my mousemat, so the cursor still doesnt move

I have had to return this item. It works on for general pc use. It will stutter during use. When it comes to gaming its useless! When scoping in wont hold. Also when moving the stutter you get during normal use is worse why playing. Its like it can't cope with fast movement.Got a refund But be warned It will stutter.

...You don't use a mat with a glossy surface, or any kind of surface that's black. Yes, they actually tell you this doesn't work well on dark mats. Odd. The laser goes kind of jittery. The mouse itself feels good in the hand, good response on the buttons, and has excellent customizable software. It takes 2 AA batteries (you can use rechargeable ones if you like). Caveat: the weight of the batteries renders the glide a little slow. You will need to use a bit more effort to push it around. Might be an issue, or not. I ended up just getting a mouse that works well on a dark mat with a small rechargeable battery built-in. I got fed up with the jittery pointer and weight in the end. Still, this is a quality product, and some will appreciate the fact you don't need to toss the mouse away when its built in battery goes defunct. The software is excellent (you download it from the website) and the button response/dpi settings are top notch.
